DigitalKOG has again invested in the future, appointing Fay Watchorn, a new graduate, to the role of Paid Social Media Executive.
Our first staff hire of 2023, Fay graduated out of Edge Hill University last year achieving a First Class Honours in Marketing with Advertising, a course that introduced her to the key theories that help businesses promote their products or services.
This degree also gave her the opportunity to undertake a Marketing internship at the Intact Centre, a local independent charity offering a community food hub, digital support, nature reserve and drop in help & advice service.
There she was tasked with developing some of their marketing strategies, and also gained experience in creating and editing content for their social media platforms and company blog, greatly enhancing her digital and communication skills.
More work experience was gained by Fay outside of her studies with stints at Iceland Foods and Cancer Research UK in various roles.
Her academic achievements have culminated in Fay now getting to fulfil her long-time ambition of working in a full-time Marketing role, doing so as a LEADOLOGIST™ at DigitalKOG.
She will collaborate most closely with our Senior Digital Marketing Executive, Amy Fryer, and be an aid in assisting with paid media planning, the deliverance of paid social media programmes, and reporting and analysing paid activity.
Managing Director, Steven Ormand, had this to say about our latest staff appointment: “We see lots of potential in Fay. Her obvious enthusiasm for marketing, willingness to learn and the proficiency she exhibited in the practical exercises we set made her the outstanding candidate.
“Under Amy’s tutelage and with the mentoring and support offered by the wider team, she will be a valuable asset to the business and our clients, and I’ve every confidence she will go on to master the craft of LEADLOGY™.”
Fay is already being kept busy, getting stuck into numerous projects and helping Amy orchestrate paid campaigns designed to maximise sales lead opportunities.
She is quickly adapting to the job and enjoying every second so far, adding: “In the short time I’ve been here I can already see how adept everyone is in their respective fields and know I’m going to learn and develop so much.
“I’m getting to work on some fantastic client accounts and feel DigitalKOG is going to be a great environment for my introduction into the marketing sphere.”
