With content requirements for our clients becoming an important part of the services offered, DigitalKOG has acted by strengthening its copywriting department, recruiting Lydia Corlett, who has a strong writing background.
She will support our existing copywriter in providing compelling, results-driven content across all online channels, including websites, blogs and social media.
Lydia has returned home to Preston from New York to take up the post, where she attained an associate degree in Fashion Business Management, to go alongside a Religion and Philosophy degree, achieved at Lancaster University.
The completion of her academic studies in “The Big Apple” led to Lydia doing an Internship at the Luxury Marketing Council, involving lots of content creation, and then working for Oomiji, a digital marketing agency specialising in the wine and spirits industry.
At Oomiji, she composed consumer-led newsletters for a mix of clients, including Taylor Fladgate, one of the world’s oldest and biggest port wine producers.
In her spare time, she also pitched and contributed articles, with special attention to SEO, to New York Gal, an online publication chiefly dedicated to fashion and beauty.
”“We received a huge number of applications for the role.
“What we really liked about Lydia was the very diverse work and life experience she has, and also her clear eagerness to apply her writing talents at DigitalKOG.”
Steven OrmandManaging Director of DigitalKOG
Lydia believes destiny may have had a little hand in getting her the job:
”“It almost felt like fate when this opportunity came up as DigitalKOG is within walking distance of where I now live and an agency that fits with my personal ambitions. The copywriting role also gives me the perfect chance to further explore my passion for writing.
“I intend to use all of my creative flair to produce engaging content that helps increase the lead volumes of our clients.”
