Enterprising Marketing Campaign Leads To Record £15m Sales Return For Clearview
Although now several weeks into 2021, we continue to be informed of good news stories regarding some of our clients’ sales performances in 2020.
The latest of them has come from Clearview Home Improvements, who have reported a record-breaking £15m in sales, achieved in just a seven-month spell, covering the period from June to December 2020.
When announcing this remarkable sales feat, they put it down to a series of factors, including, very kindly, two of the marketing initiatives that DigitalKOG devised for them during the first lockdown – Virtual Sales Appointments and their ‘Stay-at-Home Sale’.
The Virtual Appointment service provided customers with an online means of planning their home improvements remotely with a member of Clearview’s sales team whilst the company’s showrooms were closed and home visits were not permitted. It became a key sales tool for them at a time when there was a huge spike in demand for extensions, conservatories, orangeries, windows and doors, and continues to be now with customers once again restricted to their homes, and the home improvement market similarly buoyant.
To motivate customers to use the Virtual Appointment System, we tied it into the Stay-at-Home sale, offering people an extra 10% off in the promotion when they proceeded with an order through the facility.
During the first lockdown, these initiatives helped Clearview generate 75% higher sales volumes than the equivalent period in 2019.
Enquiry levels then remained strong right up until the end of the year, as average monthly sales totalled £2m.
”“It’s without a doubt the most successful period I’ve experienced since joining Clearview in 2011.
“Collectively, we spotted the change in consumer attitudes to spending more on home improvements during lockdown and were quick to maintain a proactive, multi-channel marketing approach that focused on generating virtual sales appointments with customers from across the region.
"This really paid off, and I thank DigitalKOG for their efforts.”
