Six months have now passed since Ben Chadwick first began working at DigitalKOG – his appointment was announced in this blog.
He’s learned so much over that period and our Digital Marketing Executive has taken some time out from generating client leads to reflect on the experience.

About Me
Having graduated from the University of Salford in 2021 with a MSc Marketing degree, I joined SilverDoor in Lancaster, a leading provider of corporate accommodation, as a Digital Marketing Assistant.
Previously, I had been working in the Tourism industry, holding a number of positions in Liverpool, Manchester and London, as well as having international experience in Australia & New Zealand.
The disruption of Covid to the Tourism sector caused me to reflect on my career ambitions. It was then that I decided to pursue a career in marketing, and since joining KOG, I’ve not looked back.
My Job
My role is primarily focused around email marketing and social media advertising. Although both channels differ, the overriding aim of both is to generate excellent quality leads for our clients.
Email marketing involves creating stimulating content that appeals to new and existing customers, with social media advertising geared towards communicating with the target market.
I’ve found working on both channels fun and challenging. It’s great to see when they result in leads.
Additionally, I have been managing the Google My Business profiles of our clients. This is an often neglected, but essential part of digital marketing, as I have detailed in a recent blog.
The Team
Everyone has been really welcoming.
To help people’s wellbeing, I’ve instigated regular daily walks at lunchtimes to encourage them to get away from their desks.
I’ve also shown a willingness to organise social events for the office, being a founding member of the DigitalKOG Social Committee.
In May, I arranged a team event in Preston which began with curling at the Flower Bowl, followed by a meal at an Italian restaurant, rounded off nicely with drinks.
The support I’ve received from my colleagues has been fantastic and I could not be happier amongst them.
What’s Next
In the coming months, I will continue to engage with our clients and aim to generate further growth in their lead volumes.
I also look forward to expanding my knowledge of all things digital marketing to increase my value to the team. One of my chief ambitions is to get involved in the paid social side of the agency.
What’s more, I will be helping to plan our Christmas Party, which I can tell you will be an unmissable event!
Ben has been a great addition to the team and really excelled in the short time he’s been with the company.
